The company was set up over 10 years ago by Ron Fitch who has worked in the façade industry since the 1980`s when “high tech” was the dominating architectural style trend. Initially he formed Art Metal Design, a consultancy set up to provide a design service for metal building product producers, this subsequently evolved into a specialist manufacturer which designed and produced façade systems for many of the new generation architects including Foster Asc. Richard Rogers ptsp and Michael Hopkins architects. 
Completed projects included two Stirling prize winners, Stephen Hodder`s University of Salford and Chris Wilkinson`s Magna project. He also worked with Wilkinson to develop modular toilet pods which won the Millennium products design award.
